Challenge

As infrastructure demands increased and hardware refresh cycles became more frequent, a growing group of schools recognised that their traditional on-premise server environment was no longer sustainable. Maintenance overhead was rising, disaster recovery capability was limited, and scalability was constrained by physical infrastructure. Our Solution

Cnetso designed a phased cloud transformation strategy centred around Microsoft Azure. The programme began with a detailed infrastructure assessment to identify workloads suitable for migration and to establish a secure hybrid transition model. Identity management was modernised through Azure Active Directory integration, enabling centralised authentication and conditional access policies across all sites. Legacy file and application servers were transitioned to secure cloud-hosted environments, and backup and disaster recovery configurations were strengthened using cloud-based redundancy. The migration was delivered in carefully managed phases aligned with term schedules to ensure zero disruption to teaching and administrative workflows.
